Palette of Pain: A Poem

Palette of Pain:  A Poem

Painting on the side of the road

She sheds her layers

Waiting for each to dry

Lest she blur their intention.

Color makes the most of the day

Shining bright or hiding below

It’s never too far from the surface

Yet can act inferior to itself.

Sensation awaits those who take

The whole of the body into the

Whole of the mind. But is that

The truth of the feeling?

It’s not a small price to pay

When she sits alone with

Her palette full of the colors

Of her pain.
